The last two weeks have brought about seismic changes that most of us could have never imagined.  The normal routines of life have been upended by the challenge of a microscopic virus.  Busy schedules and travel have been brought to a screeching halt as the world has been asked to live by the new mantra of "social distancing".

While we try to adjust to this new norm, it's not uncommon for our hearts to be troubled.

Last Sunday we cancelled services, and we will be doing that again this Sunday and next (22nd & 29th).

While there are many opinions as to the "right" thing to do, we will follow the advice of our General Board of Superintendents who advise us to follow the advice of Local and State authorities.

We will be offering a "live stream" sermon at 11 am each Sunday.  While we wish we could do more, including opening the doors for the congregation to attend, at this time we are remaining closed.  We will also be offering a weekly mid-week message that we hope will help keep everyone informed.  The message will also be available on our web site, and we are working other ways of communicating.

We are also reminding everyone of the need for our continued support of the church.  Your tithes and gifts can be given through our website with safe online giving, or by mailing to GCH, PO Box 223, Gardner, KS 66030.

In this season, we encourage you to turn your heart to the Lord and trust in God to be your guide.  As the Psalmist writes: "Be still, and know that I am God!  I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth.  "The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
